ACPE and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) are developing a continuing pharmacy education (CPE) tracking service, CPE Monitor, that will authenticate and store data for completed CPE units received by pharmacists and pharmacy technicians from ACPE-accredited providers.
The CPE tracking system will create a direct link for sending CPE data from ACPE-accredited providers to ACPE and then to NABP, ensuring that all reported CPE units are officially verified by ACPE-accredited providers.
After CPE units are processed by ACPE and NABP, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be able to login to a comprehensive electronic profile to access information about their completed CPE.
As of January 1, 2013, the NKF will no longer be issuing continuing education certificates for pharmacist attendees. All continuing pharmacy education credits are required to be posted to the CPE Monitor. To that end, in addition to the information requested in the registration page, each pharmacist and pharmacy technician is required to provide their NAPB e-Profile ID number and birth date in month/date (MM/DD) format. This information will be submitted to the ACPE-accredited provider. Approximately, six weeks after the symposium, the ACPE provider will issue certificates of completion through the CPE monitor system.
